Kat Parsons has gone on the have a big international career, we like to think that the Cafe has helped her raise her profile. you will find her song Does She Cry on the Songwriters Cafe CD.

Supported financially by the Arts Council backed by Lottery Funding, this project was also supported by hit songwriters and top performers Phil Collins and Ray Davis . Phil took the trouble to hand write a letter and sign a photograph proving that he is a supporter of grass routes music making.

Co-ordinated by Graheme Wilson it breasted the tape in time for the 2000 millennium celebrations. Combining the work of US and UK artists it is fitting reminder of how small the internet has made the world. There are some great performances here so why not check out other material by this artists who generously gave their music to support the cafe project.

The project has a simple mission statement - to provide a cafe where songwriters can play new songs and gauge the audience reaction. For the audience there is the excitement of discovering a new song that you can identify with - a song that could become special to you and a performer who will rise to the dizzy fame elevated heights. Years past and one day when the name is mentioned you can truthfully say - I saw her first when she played at the Songwriters Cafe!
